Hide and Seek

In my dreams, He comes...
Yet, I can't see Him

In my heart, He resides...
Yet, I can't seek Him

In my breath, He lives...
Yet, I can't feel Him

In my eyes, He smiles...
Yet, I can't behold Him

The Stealer of My Heart
Plays hide and seek with me...

O! How do I catch Him?

Very good poem Mani. Very simple, yet profound. I can never catch Him. I has to go to see Him remaining. Here is a poor imitated Tamil version inspired by your verse:

First it came up like this:
but then, it sounded like a film song and more importantly, strayed away from your original verse....
All the very best Mani.

hey ..
nice yaar..
no need to catch him..
just stay calm n pray..
he will be urs.. :)

manivannan said...

Superb poem and fantastic picture of a Gopi seeking Krishna !!

If one becomes immersed in the thoughts of the Lord, he automatically becomes ours.. He has said on various occassions that He is Bhakta Paradhina ie. inextricably bound to His devotees and always available for them..

manivannan said...

#Vishwanath Seshadri

True Vish...Krishna is the slave of His devotees! Only thing we have to qualify as His devotee :-)

Thanks a lot for sharing your beautiful thoughts, and liking the post.

A very well-written poem.
"In my breath, He lives...
Yet, I can't feel Him"
Indeed, we can't feel His presence until He himself makes his presence felt...we are always on the lookout for hints that portray His presence...
A nice poem Mani, thanks for sharing.

#Amritbir Kaur
